Carters Service Location
A service provider, the Atlanta Business Chronicle reported in October 2012 that Carter’s Inc. was looking to lease space in the Phipps Tower in Buckhead.
Carter’s Inc. said in December 2012 that it would be relocating its operations from Midtown Atlanta. One of the largest leases for a corporate headquarters in the Buckhead neighbourhood of Atlanta, the 222,730 square foot (20,692 square meters) space is located. If you take into account only the base rent and any increases, the valuation of the lease is $70 million. On December 31, 2013, the lease on the Midtown location was set to expire.
The new building houses the company’s out-of-state operations, and 200 employees have been relocated to the Buckhead area as a result. Since both the Proscenium and the Phipps Tower are owned by Manulife Financial Corp, Carter’s decision to relocate out of the Proscenium early and into the Phipps Tower.
The new location of the company’s headquarters is in unit 1800 of the Phipps Tower in Atlanta’s Buckhead neighbourhood.
